Standard Commission: 8% - 15% of the final sale price, depending on product category.

Listing Fees: Free to list products. No monthly subscription fees.
Payment Processing Fees: 2.5% for card payments, free for MPESA transactions.
Shipping Costs: Paid by the customer at checkout. Sellers are not charged for shipping.
Payment Schedule: Weekly payouts every Friday for orders delivered and confirmed in the previous week (Monday–Sunday).
Payout Methods:
- MPESA (Till/Business Number) — Instant
- Bank Transfer — 1-3 business days
- Cheque — For bulk payouts over KSh 100,000
Minimum Payout: KSh 5,000. Balances below this will roll over to the next week.
Holding Period: New sellers have a 14-day holding period for first payouts. After 5 successful sales, standard weekly payouts apply.
Prohibited Products: Counterfeit goods, expired products, hazardous materials, weapons, or any items violating Kenyan law.
Quality Standards: All products must be genuine, new (unless explicitly listed as refurbished), and meet KEBS or applicable safety standards.
Listing Requirements:
- Clear product images (minimum 3 images per product)
- Accurate product titles and descriptions
- Specifications and warranty information
- Competitive pricing
Restocking Fee: A 5% restocking fee applies to returns initiated by the seller for non-defective items.
Customer Returns: Customers may return eligible items within 30 days of delivery. Sellers are responsible for accepting returns of defective or incorrectly shipped items.
Seller-Initiated Returns: If a seller requests to return inventory, they must cover return shipping costs and a 5% restocking fee.
Dispute Resolution: If a customer disputes a charge, Sokokubwa will investigate. Sellers found at fault may be required to refund the customer.
Chargebacks: Sellers are responsible for chargebacks resulting from fraudulent or misrepresented products. Repeat chargebacks may lead to account suspension.
