What does CrV or CrMo steel mean?
CrV (chrome vanadium) is a tough alloy used for spanners, sockets and general hand tools. CrMo (chrome molybdenum) is used for impact sockets that take hammering from power tools. Both are premium grades — check the description above for the type.
Is it suitable for professional use?
Tools in CrV or CrMo steel with a proper case suit daily workshop use. Basic carbon steel sets are better for occasional DIY. Check the material listed in the specifications above.
How do I stop my tools rusting?
Wipe them dry after use, store them in their case in a dry place, and apply a light oil film occasionally. Do not leave them in a damp workshop or exposed to rain.
