Frequently Asked Questions
What are the main specifications of the Felicity IVEM6048 6KVA 48V High Frequency Hybrid Inverter?
Key details: Model: Felicity IVEM6048; Rated Power Output: 6KW (6KVA); Input Voltage (Battery): 48V DC; Output Voltage (AC): 230V ± 10%; Inverter Type: High-Frequency Pure Sine Wave Hybrid Inverter. See the Key Features and Specifications sections above for the full list.
What size inverter do I need?
Add up the running watts of everything you will use at the same time, then add about 30% headroom. Motors such as fridges and pumps draw two to three times their running power at start-up, so size for that surge. A typical home backup set-up is 2–5kVA. This model is rated 6KVA.
Does an inverter work without batteries?
Off-grid inverters need a battery bank. Some hybrid and grid-tie models can run from solar or the grid without batteries but will stop when that source is lost. Check the operating modes in the specifications above.
MPPT or PWM charge controller?
MPPT controllers extract more energy from the panels, especially with higher-voltage arrays and in heat, and are the better choice for larger systems. PWM controllers cost less and suit small 12V systems.
Can an inverter run a fridge and a water pump together?
Yes, if its surge rating covers both start-ups. Add each appliance's surge together, and use a pure sine wave inverter for motors and fridges. Tell us your appliances and we will size it.
What do the error codes on my inverter mean?
Codes differ between brands and models, so use the manual for the exact meaning. The usual causes are low battery voltage, overload, over-temperature, reversed PV or AC polarity and communication faults with the battery. Send us your model and the code on WhatsApp and our technical team will help.
