Key Features

✓Features. LCD settings for charging priority and voltage, generator compatible, auto-restart, overload/short circuit protection, optional WiFi monitoring.
✓6kW Felicity IVEM6048 Hybrid Inverter. 48V system with integrated MPPT solar charge controller (up to 6000W PV input), pure sine wave output, and LCD interface for monitoring and configuration.
✓Gel Battery Bank. Scalable deep cycle gel batteries (maintenance-free, vibration-resistant, compatible with lead-acid setups; supports lithium activation for upgrades).
✓Household Essentials. Powers lights, fans, fridges, TVs, electronics, and other residential loads with pure sine wave output for sensitive devices.
✓Gel Battery Benefits. Ensures vibration resistance for portable or rural setups; maintenance-free design ideal for tropical climates with consistent discharge.
✓Variable Duration. 10-18 hours depending on load (e.g., 6000W peak supports medium households) and solar input; gel batteries provide stable discharge without maintenance.
✓Optimization. MPPT maximizes solar yield for daily recharges (6-8 hours sunlight typical in Kenya); auto-restart ensures seamless backup during outages.
✓ke Product Description The Felicity 6kW Hybrid Solar Kit centers around the IVEM6048 hybrid inverter, providing a robust, all-in-one solution for residential power in Kenya

Frequently Asked Questions — Solar Panels

Sizing, cloudy-day performance, connections and warranty.

What size solar panel do I need?

Start from your daily energy use in kWh. In Kenya a panel produces roughly its rated watts x 5 peak sun hours x 0.8 per day — so a 200W panel gives ~0.8 kWh/day and a 400W panel ~1.6 kWh/day. Divide your daily kWh by that figure, then add 20% for cable and inverter losses.

Will it work on cloudy days?

Yes, at reduced output. Heavy cloud can cut output to a small fraction of the rating; light cloud cuts it far less. Size the array and battery bank with 30-40% margin if you need dependable power through cloudy spells.

Monocrystalline or polycrystalline — which is better?

Monocrystalline panels are more efficient (18-23%) and use limited roof space better. Polycrystalline is slightly less efficient and cheaper. Check the cell type in the specifications above.

What do I need besides the panel?

For a battery system you need: a charge controller (MPPT preferred), a battery, and for AC appliances an inverter. Solar cable and DC breakers complete the set.
