How long will this battery run my appliances?
Runtime in hours ≈ battery volts × amp-hours × usable fraction ÷ load in watts. A 12V 100Ah battery holds about 1.2 kWh; use about half of that with lead-acid and more with lithium. Add the inverter's own losses.
What is the difference between gel, AGM, tubular and lithium?
Gel and AGM are sealed lead-acid types that need no topping up. Tubular batteries are built for deep, repeated cycling in solar systems. Lithium (LiFePO4) lasts the most cycles, weighs less and allows deeper discharge, at a higher price.
How many cycles will it give?
It depends on the type and how deeply you discharge. Lead-acid types typically give a few hundred to over a thousand cycles at moderate depth of discharge, while LiFePO4 often gives 2,000 or more. Shallower discharge always extends life.
How do I look after my battery?
Keep it charged, avoid regular deep discharges, keep terminals clean and tight, and use a charger or controller set for the battery type. Install it in a dry, ventilated place.
Can I connect batteries together?
Yes. Connect in series to raise voltage and in parallel to raise capacity. Use identical batteries of the same age and type, and correctly sized cable and fuses. Ask us to design the bank.
