Frequently Asked Questions
What are the main specifications of the Dayliff DPX3000 3kW 3 Phase Heavy Duty Pool Circulation Pump?
Key details: DAYLIFF DPX3000 3kW 3PH Pool Pump - Three Phase Heavy Duty Pool Cir…; Product Name; 5") •Dimensions (A x H). See the Key Features and Specifications sections above for the full list.
How do I choose the right electric pump?
Match three things: the flow you need, the total head (height plus pipe friction) and your power supply (single-phase or three-phase). The specifications above give this pump's rated figures. This model is rated 3kW.
What is the difference between a surface pump and a submersible pump?
A surface pump sits above the water and suits shallow sources and transfer. A submersible pump works underwater and suits boreholes, deep wells and sumps.
Single-phase or three-phase?
Single-phase pumps run from normal domestic power and suit homes and small farms. Three-phase pumps suit larger loads and need a three-phase supply.
Does it need a control box or dry-run protection?
Many submersible pumps need a control box or panel to start and protect them. Dry running damages any pump, so use dry-run protection or a float switch. Check the features above.
My pump runs but gives little or no water. What should I check?
Check for air leaks on the suction side, a blocked foot valve or strainer, a closed valve, low water level and a worn impeller. Check the supply voltage too.
