Frequently Asked Questions
What are the main specifications of the 460 Litre Rectangular Loft Plastic Water Tank?
Key details: 460litre Rectangular Loft Tank,"Compact 460 Litre Rectangular Loft …. See the Key Features and Specifications sections above for the full list.
What size water tank do I need?
Plan on roughly 50–100 litres per person per day for basic household use, then add for gardens, livestock or business use. Multiply by the days of storage you want.
Is it safe for drinking water?
Use tanks made for potable water, keep the lid closed, and clean the tank regularly. Check the product details above for the tank's rating.
Where should I place the tank?
Use a firm, level base that supports the full weight of the water. Raising the tank gives gravity pressure, or add a booster pump.
Vertical or horizontal tank?
Vertical tanks take less floor space. Horizontal tanks suit low headroom or transport. Both store water equally well.
Which pump goes with my tank?
A booster pump gives steady pressure from a ground tank, and a transfer pump fills a raised tank. Tell us your usage and we will recommend one.
