Frequently Asked Questions
Do you deliver and advise on installation?
That's covered: nationwide delivery. We provide installation guidance and can refer vetted installers where needed.
How do I pay for a full system?
Certainly — m-Pesa, bank transfer and card. For larger systems, deposit or staged payment is often available — ask when you order.
Can you help me size this for my load?
Yes. Share your essential loads (fridge, lights, pump, office kit) and whether you need backup-only or full off-grid, and we will recommend capacity and matching panels or batteries.
What about panels, batteries or cables to match?
We stock compatible solar panels, batteries, charge controllers and cables. Ask for a matched set so everything arrives together.
Is the listed price final, or are there extra costs?
That's covered: the listed price is the product price; delivery is quoted separately based on your location. There are no hidden fees added at checkout.
Do you offer bulk or trade pricing on the 11kW ALPS Power Plus with 16kWh Storage Solar Kit?
Yes — for larger quantities or trade/reseller orders, message us with the quantity you need and we will quote a bulk rate.
Is the 11kW ALPS Power Plus with 16kWh Storage Solar Kit genuine and under warranty?
That's confirmed — official-channel stock with manufacturer warranty and Sokokubwa Kenya after-sales support if anything fails within cover.
Will it handle Kenyan grid and off-grid conditions?
The models we stock are selected for local voltage, frequent outages and typical hybrid/off-grid use. Check input/output ratings in the specs and confirm with us for edge cases.
The 11kW ALPS Power Plus with 16kWh Storage Solar Kit won't power on or charge — what should I check first?
Confirm the input source (grid/solar/battery) is actually live, check the DC/AC breakers and fuses, and inspect connector polarity. Most "dead" units are a tripped breaker or a loose terminal, not a fault.
What panels, batteries or accessories is the 11kW ALPS Power Plus with 16kWh Storage Solar Kit compatible with?
Check the specifications for input voltage range, battery type support and rated capacity — these determine what it can safely pair with. Tell us your existing setup and we'll confirm compatibility or suggest a matched combination.
The unit beeps in a pattern instead of showing a code.
Count the beeps/flashes and check the manual's alarm table — beep patterns usually map to the same fault categories as the numeric codes (overload, low battery, over-temperature, fault on input).

Frequently Asked Questions — Solar Panels
Sizing, cloudy-day performance, connections and warranty.
What size solar panel do I need?
Start from your daily energy use in kWh. In Kenya a panel produces roughly its rated watts x 5 peak sun hours x 0.8 per day — so a 200W panel gives ~0.8 kWh/day and a 400W panel ~1.6 kWh/day. Divide your daily kWh by that figure, then add 20% for cable and inverter losses.
Will it work on cloudy days?
Yes, at reduced output. Heavy cloud can cut output to a small fraction of the rating; light cloud cuts it far less. Size the array and battery bank with 30-40% margin if you need dependable power through cloudy spells.
Monocrystalline or polycrystalline — which is better?
Monocrystalline panels are more efficient (18-23%) and use limited roof space better. Polycrystalline is slightly less efficient and cheaper. Check the cell type in the specifications above.
What do I need besides the panel?
For a battery system you need: a charge controller (MPPT preferred), a battery, and for AC appliances an inverter. Solar cable and DC breakers complete the set.
